These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (“you” or “your”) and Book to Brain (“Book to Brain,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our Services (defined below), creating an account, or browsing our website or apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
These Terms apply to your access to and use of the following (collectively, the “Services”):
(a) the website and all associated pages, domains, and social media accounts (the “Website”); and
(b) our software, mobile applications, features, and products made available by us, including any application programming interfaces (APIs). Beta Services are governed by Section 4 and are not considered “Services” for purposes of these Terms unless expressly stated.
We may supplement these Terms with additional terms, guidelines, or policies (“Supplemental Terms”) for specific features (e.g., content policies, developer/API terms, prohibited use policy, data processing addendum (DPA) for business clients, voice/TTS terms, or beta terms). Supplemental Terms become part of your agreement with us and control to the extent of a conflict.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above indicates the latest change. We may provide notice (e.g., email, in‑product notice, or posting). Unless stated otherwise, changes take effect immediately, and your continued use of the Services confirms your acceptance. If you do not agree to changes, you must stop using the Services.
(a) Age. You must be 18 years of age or the age of majority where you live to use the Services.
(b) Authorization. If you use the Services on behalf of a person or entity, (i) “you” includes that person or entity; (ii) you represent you are authorized to bind them; and (iii) they agree to be responsible if you or they violate these Terms. Entities are responsible for their users’ compliance.
(c) Use Restrictions. Your access to and use of the Services and your use of any Output (defined in Section 4) must comply with these Terms and our Prohibited Use Policy. Free plans are for non‑commercial use unless expressly stated; paid plans may be used for commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and our policies.
You may provide information to us or we may collect information when you use the Services. You agree to receive communications at the email or other contact information you provide. You represent that information you provide is accurate and kept current. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and process information about you. If you enter into these Terms on behalf of an entity, our Data Processing Addendum (DPA) governs our processing of personal data contained in content you input to the Services. You acknowledge we may process personal data relating to operation, support, billing, analytics, model and product improvement, research, and compliance with law.
We may require an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activities under your account. Do not share personal account credentials. Update your account information promptly if it changes. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or suspected breach. If your account is closed or terminated, unused credits (e.g., page scans, tokens) may be forfeited.
(a) Inputs/Outputs. You may provide data, images, text, audio, and other materials as Input. Based on Input, the Services may return Output such as summaries, flashcards, decks, transcriptions, or audio narration. You must comply with our Prohibited Use Policy. Some features may permit downloading Output for use outside the Services, subject to these Terms and our policies. If you choose to publish or share content publicly, you do so at your own risk.
(b) Voice/TTS and Model Features. Certain features may allow creation of text‑to‑speech (TTS) audio or other model‑generated content (e.g., OCR, summarization, flashcards). For TTS or voice features that rely on third‑party providers, see Section 8 (Third‑Party Services). Additional terms may apply.
